J. E. H. MacDonald’s Aurora, Georgian Bay (1931) was selected to frame and present Harold Paul “Pork” Tompkins’ poem Grandfather. A similar, not the same, oil painting hung in his parents’ living room on 3rd Avenue East in Owen Sound, Ontario.
